Sam Caruana

Originally from the Sunshine Coast, Sam is a Brisbane-based producer, director, performer and teacher. Sam completed three years of musical theatre training before launching into the arts industry. As co-creative director of BG Performing Arts, he has produced and directed almost 30 youth productions including HADESTOWN, CHARLIE & CHOCOLATE FACTORY, HEATHERS, HEAD OVER HEELS, FOOTLOOSE, LEGALLY BLONDE, SPAMALOT, CHICAGO, GREASE, SEUSSICAL JR. & THE SPONGEBOB MUSICAL. Most recent credits as a performer include featured vocalist in THANK YOU FOR THE MUSIC - THE ABBA SHOW, Blaine Tuttle in CRUEL INTENTIONS, ensemble and Musidorus cover in HEAD OVER HEELS & featured vocalist in A NIGHT AT THE MUSICALS. His notable performance credits include Sir Robin in SPAMALOT, Ren McCormack in FOOTLOOSE, Emmett Forrest in LEGALLY BLONDE, Billy Flynn in CHICAGO, Oscar Lindquist in SWEET CHARITY, & Rapunzel’s Prince in INTO THE WOODS.
